Welcome! 👋

I’m a biometrics security and privacy research engineer at Simprints where I work on the security of biometric templates and on machine learning/AI models for biometrics applications.

My research interests span across biometrics, privacy, computer vision, and AI. I am a curious and lifelong learner, passionately exploring cutting-edge AI and emerging technologies.

In 2024, I obtained my PhD on behavioral biometrics based on mobile human-computer interaction (such as keystroke dynamics, touch gestures, and motion sensor data) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) in the Biometrics Data Pattern Analytics Lab (BiDA-Lab). My PhD position was part of the PriMa (Privacy Matters) project, an Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the EU through the Horizon 2020 Framework, with a focus on the analysis and mitigation of privacy risks in the digital domain.

During my PhD, I’ve published several journal and conference papers, chaired two workshop in international conferences, had two academic secondments, respectively at the University of Kent (UK), and at the Fraunhofer IGD (Darmstadt, Germany). You can check out my publications and CV.

Originally from Bari (Italy), I’m now based in Madrid (Spain).
